Nitro was rescued from a Southern NJ animal shelter. A week before christmas in 2000, Nitro's previous owner had dropped him off at a shelter. He was suffering from malnutrition and had bad intestinal problems. Nobody wanted him because he was not in the best of health. So, we just had to have him because he needed to be part of our family and we wanted to take the time to help him get better. What a pal, he's the sweetest total character we've come accross yet. |

 Lucy Liberty as a puppy... | In 2001, we were still looking for another whippet we could rescue. After
6 months of looking, we received Nitro's pedigree and Breeder information
from the shelter which was a surprise. We knew he needed a pal, so we called
the same breeder and had his new pal LUCY LIBERTY sent to us. They have never
been happier. ...... Nitro & Lucy hanging out after playing fetch in the yard...
