We'd like everyone in Whippet Land to meet Malkum. Malkum is a year and a half old, but don't tell him because he thinks he's much more mature. He lives in Redwood Shores, California with his adoptive parents Kim and Steve who spoil him on a daily basis. Malkum loves to take his parents on walks, runs and bike rides. Although they have a tough time keeping up with him, he always keeps an eye on them to insure their safety. Malkum also enjoys the dog park where he is able to "fly"around in true whippet form.

Malkum really know how to amuse his family. He can perform many humanisms, when asked kindly, including sitting, shaking hands with either paw, rolling over, playing dead, speaking, and his favorite ... go to bed. Yes, Malkum loves to go to bed at 9pm, and doesn't have to be urged too much to go. He sleeps on his own bed in his own room (of course).

He spends most of the day lounging around and watching his parents. He loves to sit on the couch and watch their every move -- you never know when Mom and Dad might want to go for a walk, so he has to keep an eye on them. Although he is fed in the afternoon, he usually will wait until his parents sit down to eat -- he doesn't seem to understand that he is a dog, so please don't tell him.

This is Lucy, a beautiful whippet greyhound mix recently rescued by Kathryn Elias and her family in England. Lucy is very sweet and loves her new home. We wish Lucy and Kathryn the best of luck.
