In Memory of Whippets

Char's Poem

Don't cry for me, it's not the end
I'll always be your truest friend

The bond we made, like Summer's rain
Will show its face one day again

The love we had, like Winter's snow
That melts at dawn, at dusk will grow

The fun we had, like Spring's new seeds
Will rise again, and foil the weeds

The memories, like Fall's bright leaves,
Give solace to the one who grieves

And when you're done with all your years,
And time has washed away the tears

I'll greet you as I always have,
With playful smiles and yelping laugh

And I'll be with you once again
And never leave you, my true friend
