The Whippet in Art and History
Although the Whippet as a recognized breed is relatively recent, dating only from the late 1800's, a large body of evidence exists to show that "Whippet-like" dogs have existed since ancient times. Here are some more recent examples of Whippet art, and some fragments of Whippet history.

A hand-made afghan showing Whippets at play. This beautiful work of art was custom made and given away as a Whippet club raffle prize in 1997.
